
Willie DannOwner
Growing up in Southern California, Willie has played tennis since the age of 3. He played #1 singles and doubles for Rice University. After taking almost 10 years off from the game Willie now plays for the USTA Men’s National Team competing and traveling all over the world for individual and team events. He has won 11 coveted gold balls competing in National Tournaments. Willie is passionate about the game of tennis and brings his energy on court. He and his wife Robin own The Club at Westport and hope to raise their kids, Sidney and Will with a love for the game.

Sunny BowersTennis Director
Sunny Bowers brings more than 27 years of tennis coaching and teaching experience to our program. A native of Denver, North Carolina, she is passionate about helping players of all ages and skill levels develop their game, build confidence, and enjoy tennis for life.
Sunny played collegiate tennis at Presbyterian College, where she earned a degree in Special Education. She later spent ten years in Columbia as a Director of Tennis and General Manager, developing programs and coaching players of all ages. She also trained at the renowned Van Der Meer Tennis Academy.

Corey CornacchioPart Time Tennis Assistant Pro
Corey has been a tennis member at Westport since 2012 and holds a Pickleball IPTPA Level 2 Certification.
Corey is also a certified USTA Try Tennis Instructor and has taught both Try Tennis and Try Play programs for the Lake Norman Tennis Association for the past two years. He’s played on 2 state-winning teams and has represented Westport in several others. Like many tennis players, he was resistant to pickleball at first, but then he was bitten by the bug. He is now applying his teaching skills to also help introduce pickleball to the Westport Community.
